The Change of Seasons

About a year ago the Lord began to speak about a change of seasons that was coming soon and began to give us vision for it. As the year came to an end, we noticed how things started shifting, personally and corporately, for the Body of Christ. As the winds of change began to blow, we saw many feeling concerned and worried about what is to come. We noticed that many have become used to the familiar and long to remain in the familiar place like the people of Israel when they set their tents ( Num. 9:17-23) and then the cloud lifted and they knew they had to pack-up the tent and move with the cloud, not sure where they would end. For the past 12 years we have set our tents by the river that has been flowing from heaven through TACF, which has spread around the world. A river that will never dry up, because the Father's love will never leave us. During this season we have been refreshed, restored, encouraged, filled with life and vision. We have been revived. In this season the trumpets have been calling the armies to awaken, the Bride to come out of her chambers to meet the Beloved, and the virgins to get more oil. It has indeed been a season of preparation.

Now, we are entering into a different season and it is not what many have expected. In I Kings 19 we find Elijah facing change. He had had what probably was the most powerful and significant event of his ministry. He had great breakthrough, but then discouragement rose up against him. The Lord came to meet with Elijah and called him out. Elijah stood on the mountain and a wind came‚ but the Lord was not in the wind, then there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. Elijah expected the Lord to be in the wind and in the earthquake, but He was not. Elijah had seen Him come that way before, but it was different this time. Elijah was looking for something predictable. Then there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. But after the fire there was the sound of a gentle breeze and the Lord was in it.

The word of the Lord for us today is that this new season is different. God is bringing change: change to the church, change to us, change to who we are, change to the way we do things. We have been walking in certain things and have become used to the way things are, but the Lord is coming to do something new. Many of us have been stuck on something and think, "This is the way it has to be". We like the way things are and like to take hold of it and make patterns and practices and say, "This is the way it was before and this is the way it will be again". Yes, there are fires and winds and earthquakes, and there are people being caught in them, but this season is the season of the gentle whisper of the Lord.

God is coming to visit. It is a time of visitation when the Lord will come in a gentle whisper to visit the church. Recently in a vision the Lord said to me, "I am a man of war and I have come to inspect what is mine, but now I am going to come to visit my church. Tell my people that I am coming to visit. It is a time of visitation and I am going to whisper as a gentle person, this is the season of intimacy. It is not about fire, it is not about banging the heavens and shaking the earth." The Lord said, "I am taking my people to the place where they are positioned for intimacy. There will be those who receive it and stand to hear the whisper, but there will be those who look for the fires, the thunders, and the mighty winds, and they will miss the purpose of this season."

After intimacy comes giving out. The Lord said, "Look at what happened to Peter, that he walked and his shadow touched people. That came out of intimacy (Acts 5:15). This does not come out of wanting something or seeking the gifts or the anointing, that does not do it." There are many saying, "If I can only get those gifts or anointing then‚" but, God is saying, "I want intimacy. I want to visit with you. I want to pour my Kingdom in you and then my power will flow out of you". The power that flows from intimacy with the Father is greater than the power that flows from the gifts. In this season of intimacy, God will purge all that stands in the way. It is not a fire that will come and burn it; it will fall off out of intimacy. It will not hurt when it comes off and, at that point, commissioning will come, release will come, and impartation will come for "the more."

When there is intimacy we do not focus on what we can get. This season is not a time to seek after experiences or gifts. That won't do it. This is the season of the heart. God wants us to seek his heart. We have had a great season in which God has poured down gifts, anointing, experiences, and manifestations. We have been filled in more ways than we can explain, and the eyes of many have been fixed on those things. There are many who have become so accustomed to seeking experiences and receiving and have lost sight of what this is about. It is about the heart of the Father, where his Kingdom is found. In this season, God is going to establish his Kingdom, but He is going to release and establish it within us. As we draw close to Him in this place of intimacy He is going to fill us with Himself in such a way that when people meet us they will have encounters with Him, instead of with us. During this season, the Father is restoring the ministry of Jesus back in the church and on earth.

A while ago, the Lord spoke to us and said, "Prepare my people to receive the ministry of Jesus. The time is coming soon when the season of the ministries of men will come to an end and the ministry of Jesus will be restored and released again. The ministry of Jesus will be given to those who have become part of the 'nameless and faceless' generation that I have been preparing for the last 15 years." The "nameless and faceless generation" is a generation like no other, an army that will fill the earth with the glory of God. It is so big that it cannot be counted and cannot be stopped. This is the generation that has gone through endless fires, death, brokenness, stripping off of identity, reputation, ambition, pride, etc., etc. Many of these people had not done "anything" to cause that to happen. They were loving and serving the Lord and the storms began. The Lord has caused that to happen because out of it, He has prepared a generation that He can trust and to whom He will entrust the ministry of his Son.

This generation has paid a high price and "lost it all", but now will gain it all. (Joel 2:21-26). The Lord has allowed these things to happen, but now, a season of great rest and restoration is coming. It has not been an easy time for very many, but be encouraged, because God is causing it to end. He is calling away the swarming locust, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, "my great army which I sent among you (V. 25)." And now, He is going to restore what they ate in our lives during those years. Rejoice and be glad in the Lord, you who have endured because you "made it", and now prepare to eat plenty and be satisfied, because the threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil, the pastures of the wilderness will spring-up, the trees will bear their fruit, the fig tree and the vine will yield their strength. The Lord will cause the rain to come down for you-- the former rain, and the latter rain, and He will do wondrous things among you!

This generation has endured much, but will receive something that no other generation on earth has received before, "the ministry of Jesus", which is a ministry of love, service, sacrifice, and intimacy. It is a ministry of power indeed, but the power that comes from intimacy with the Father. Jesus said, "I only do what I see the Father do" (John 5:19). He came to make the Father known and as a result, the Father released His Kingdom through Him. They were one (John 17:11). The Kingdom of his Father flowed through Him in a way that was 'natural', a by-product of that union. This happened when the woman with the issue of blood touched his garment and He said, "virtue (or power) has come out of me" and she was healed (Mark 5:25-34). The Kingdom that resided within Him came through Him naturally (like Peter's shadow), and all He did for that to happen was to walk with his Father in such intimacy that those who met Him met the Father through Him and experienced the Father's touch. This was beautifully expressed by the man who said, "I do not know who he is or where he came from, but one thing I know‚ I was blind and now I see" (John 9:25). God is calling us to become "one" with Him (John 17:21), and as a result, the same will happen to us and through us.

Recently I was on a trip in a foreign land and everything that could go wrong went wrong. I had to be there for six days and was not sure how I was going to endure it, so I drew closer and closer to the Father and He came close to me. Very soon, I became aware of his engulfing presence and his increasing love filling me. Then, all of a sudden, I noticed that every single backslider in the places where I went (hotels, restaurants, stores, etc.), and some unbelievers that were searching for "something" were drawn to me. At first, I could not understand why, if they did not know I was a Christian or a minister. Then I realized they were not drawn to me, but to the Father's love that was flowing through me (like virtue flowing out of me). There were times that as I walked past people in the halls, the love of the Father would come through me and they literally followed me as they wanted that love they felt as I passed.

This led to great experiences. People came and opened their hearts to me and told me their life stories and struggles, even though they did not know me or anything about me. They seemed to "naturally trust me". Most of the time, I simply listened while feeling overwhelmed by the heart of the Father and his love for them, and then the most amazing thing happened, because by the time they finished talking they were convicted about going back to the Lord and returning to the church. I never said anything to make that happen. I was simply there and the Kingdom of the Father that is alive and has power came through, and they had encounters with the Father and his love. I saw how "his love led them to repentance" ( Rom. 2:4). This is a season where prodigals will come home and the lost will find salvation, but it will be more through the releasing of the true love of God through us than through preaching at them. They will respond to the Father's love.

During this season, God is also going to restore his sovereignty among his people and on earth. God is establishing his place as King of his Kingdom. Jesus the King of kings and Lord of lords is being revealed. In this season God is calling us to trust and obedience. For the past 12 years, God has lavished his love on us and has shown us his Father's heart in a way that cannot be denied. During this outpouring, we have come to know Him as a perfect and loving father who has healed our hearts, has restored our dreams, and has given us vision, gifts, and promises. He has taught us to trust Him. Now that we know we are the apple of his eye and we are safe with Him, He wants to be King of kings and Lord of lords in our lives.

In a visit to heaven a while ago, I noticed something that surprised me. I had no idea this was actually possible. I saw that in heaven, God is really in charge, is the boss, and what He says goes. I have seen nothing like that on earth. In heaven, no one argues, complains, questions or contests what God says. In heaven, they actually believe Him. I saw how in heaven God rules and reigns. His authority and position are established. It simply is a fact no one contests. His unlimited power, abilities, resources, etc., are also a fact and everyone lives by them. Therefore, His word is incontestable. I saw how when God speaks, heaven begins to move to make it happen. Angels listen and obey without batting an eye. The Holy Spirit agrees with Him. He is Lord and King. Then I saw how on earth, things are so different. God's children are not like that and this is a reason why many are not walking in their destinies.

Another thing that happens on earth is that many people have the idea that a father who loves us this way would not allow us to be in difficult situations and would not place us in situations that we do not like. In this season we are entering into, God is going to take many into situations that we will not understand, that we may not like, and also into impossible situations. Many will be stretched, and the purpose for that is so He can reveal his presence, his power, his glory, and his love in and through us, so his Kingdom can become real to the world around us. The thing is that now that He has revealed his love and heart as a Father to us in such a real and powerful way, we know that we can trust Him. We can now trust Him enough to volunteer in the day of his power (Psalm 110:3), so his Kingdom can come and, his will can be done on earth as it is in heaven, and then we will do the works Jesus did, and even greater works than those we shall also do" (John 14:12). like that and this is a reason why many are not walking in their destinies.
